Guest Relations Manager

Alex grew up in the United States with a love of the outdoors and a solicitous attitude towards people. So after graduating from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill with a degree in Business Administration, coming to work at Telunas Beach was a good fit. Now, as the Guest Relations Manager, he gets to combine his business skills with his compassion for people as he leads the Guest Services team. He also enjoys the challenge of thinking of new ways for Teluans Beach to use business to have a positive impact on the people and area surrounding it. It doesn’t hurt that he gets to do all of this as he sits over top of the ocean and enjoys the silhouettes of mountains beyond Telunas.

Telunas, besides being ‘thatched paradise’, is also a magnet for people who have interesting stories. Whether you’re from the local islands, doing an cultural tour, a teacher at an international school or Singaporean, he’d love to listen to the stories that have formed you into who you are today. Alex is a kind and patient man who thinks that people and the stories they have lived are interesting and valuable. Alex also believes that Telunas has the most uniquely engaging guest experience in the region and wants to invite you join the extended Telunas family.  So come meet Alex and team, share your experiences and make some new memories to take with you as you go back home.

When Alex isn’t working, he likes creating goofy but precious memories with his family. Alex and his wife Elizabeth (whom he likes to describe as ‘the extremely competent, organized, lieutenant of our home’) have lived in Indonesia since 2008 and have three young children. They’re looking forward to growing together as a family while they share life with people here in Indonesia.
